@icecube should be studied by writers like #jimcollins who wrote #goodtogreat & #builttolast because he epitomizes those findings. “Good to Great: Why Some Companies Make the Leap… and Others Don’t is a management book that describes how companies transition from being good companies to great companies, and how most companies fail to make the transition. He talks about preserving the core of what made you good (writing in Ice Cube’s Case) and how you also have to innovate to become great (started writing for other people, then tv/movies). Built To Last sought “to identify underlying characteristics that are common to highly visionary companies” and “to effectively communicate findings so they can influence management.” We can learn so much from our talented leaders in sports, tech, and entertainments and become better managers and leaders ourselves. What I learned from Cube was to take my skill set from Wallstreet and apply it personally, for my community, and into tech. Keep innovating but also focus on my core passion and skills! Please share how it applies to you and let’s help others.
